Ancient roots, modern ground

For thousands of years, the deepest traditions — from the contemplative schools of the West to the energetic sciences of the East — pointed to the same intuition: beneath the noise of the separate self lies an underlying unity, a single Source from which everything flows and to which everything returns.

The West gave this its most precise philosophical form in Plotinus and his theory of the One (to Hen) — the principle that all multiplicity emanates from a single origin, and that the soul's true movement is the return to that origin. Ad Unum — Latin for "toward the One" — takes its name and its compass from exactly this idea.

What is new is this: today that ancient intuition can be met by science. Ad Unum is built in honest dialogue with peer-reviewed research — the same body of work that shapes how we understand both classical physics and quantum physics: studies on coherence, on consciousness, on the measurable effects of attention, intention and the energetic field of the human being. Oude wortels, moderne bodem

Duizenden jaren lang wezen de diepste tradities — van de contemplatieve scholen van het Westen tot de energetische wetenschappen van het Oosten — naar dezelfde intuïtie: onder het lawaai van het afgescheiden zelf ligt een onderliggende eenheid, één Bron waaruit alles voortvloeit en waarnaar alles terugkeert.

Het Westen gaf dit zijn meest precieze filosofische vorm in Plotinus en zijn theorie van het Ene (to Hen) — het beginsel dat alle veelheid voortkomt uit één oorsprong, en dat de ware beweging van de ziel de terugkeer naar die oorsprong is. Ad Unum — Latijn voor "naar het Ene" — ontleent daar zijn naam en zijn kompas aan.
